About us

The SUN REPACK Association is a Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility (SCRAP) for domestic, commercial and industrial packaging and packaging waste, constituted with the commitment and support of companies considered as "producer of the product" according to Royal Decree 1055 /2022 of December 27 on packaging and packaging waste, and Law 7/2022 of April 8 on waste and contaminated soil for a circular economy, and in this way, comply with the extended responsibility of the producer when managing and give adequate treatment to the packaging waste generated once it is placed on the market.

Likewise, it has the support of other Associations (Collective Systems of Extended Producer Responsibility) of producers of waste electrical and electronic equipment, batteries and accumulators, such as the SUN REUSE Association and SUN RE-BATTERY respectively, authorized with NATIONAL SCOPE as SCRAP of WEEE and Batteries and Accumulators by the MINISTRY OF ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION AND DEMOGRAPHIC CHALLENGE with the National Authorization Code 14/SCR/RAP/CV of the Registry of Production and Waste Management of the Valencian Community according to resolution of the General Director of Quality and Environmental Education of February 6, 2020, and whose companies are also affected by the new waste legislation, Law 7/2022 of April 8 on waste and contaminated soils, and R. D. 1055/2022 of December 27 on packaging and waste of containers. The SUN REPACK Association has been created in accordance with the L.O. 1/2002 of March 22 of the Right of Association, R. D. 1497/2003 of November 28 of the National Registry of Associations and Law 30/1992 of November 26 of RJPAC, and has been founded using the principles of the new Law 7/2022 of April 8, on waste and contaminated soil for a circular economy and with the provisions of Royal Decree 1055/2022 of December 27 on packaging and packaging waste, in order to provide the necessary services to companies customers and implement a Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility (SCRAP) for packaging and packaging waste at the national level, and in this way the companies considered as "Producer of the product", importers, packers, e-commerce platforms,... comply with the obligations derived from R.D.1055/2022 of December 27 on packaging and packaging waste.
